Sleep Easy: Its Time for new beginnings

"I Hope you realize that you have got the most fabulous girl in this town " she said looking at him in jest.

"I know you are " he finally answered "I've spent many years meeting all kinds of girls, and out of all of them , I chose you "

It was true .He meant it.In his opinion , it was the most beautiful thing he had said in a long time.And after he spoke it , he realized it wasn't entirely accurate.If there was anything he had learned , it was that the man never chooses the woman.All he can do is give her an opportunity to choose him.

As he contemplated , she had drifted off.Her chest rose and dropped lightly. She was no longer awake.Sandman has claimed her for himself.She lay next to him .Serene .Content.

'She may die next morning ,or  I may die next morning' He thought as he thought of human existence and its bubble like impermanence.He realized that he must learn to die now.

To choose death now , so that he would never fear it.To relinquish any thoughts of his 'right ' to live.And the 'right' to her life.

The purpose of life was to exist, or so he believed.So , had he fulfilled his purpose? He's been with her for three months now.These were the best three months of his life so far.What future held for him , he did not know.What he knew was that he doesn't deserve her; not even for three minutes.God knew he didn't. But she believed otherwise , to his good fortune.

That night , he slept easy.He still didn't know if he would wake up the next morning, but he slept hoping that he could wake up early and watch her face glow as the first rays of the rising kissed her .
