Tu bolen, main bola (you said , I said)

You said :Aaj kal ke bacche bacche jaise nahi lagte hain...

I said :Haan, yeh sach hain...woh aaj kal bacchon se zyaada miniature adults lagte hain.

You said:Yeh ho kya gaya he zamane ko ?

I said : Yeh aaj ki fast-forward zindagi mein kahi unka bachpana khogaya he.Unka bachpana hi unka sabse bada dushman ban gaya he.Yeh fast forward zindagi ka race mein woh humse aage nikalna chahate he.Race mein daudte zindagi yoohien kat raha he.

You said :Uuf yeh zindagi.

I said:Uuf !

What I did not say : The only thing that makes life possible is permanent ,intolerable uncertainty of not knowing what comes next.

I'm waiting, anticipating , getting it all wrong, but waiting nonetheless.

    Translation is not really required ...
    It is a mundane dialogue between two strangers very little is said and a lot is left unsaid.
    The crux though lies in this that "The only thing that makes life possible is permanent ,intolerable uncertainty of not knowing what comes next"

    Or as Kavita put it precisely "Umeed pe duniya khayam hai "
