i think the kids - the wired ones, are a different kind of smart. each generation used to be defined by 20 year cycles. I think that's gone down to five with the speed that we're at. oh, this article reminded me of this:The test that West Virginia 8th grade students in 1931 had to pass to move on to high school:http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/education/v/tests.pdfMost of us would FAIL in this exam. So yes, we are all getting dumberer.
I read only 1/3 of that rant and I had to skim thru the rest. Don't blame the kids, we're suffering the same ailment...
