Special Guest Appearance

I'll make it simple.
In bollywood movie terminology , I'm what they call the 'Special Guest
Appearance' and not the Main Lead.

Remember Kuch Kuch Hota Hain ?

I'm Salman, not Sharuck.

Salman's character has no visible flaws except that no matter how hard
he tries , we the audience knows that he is doomed to fail.We, the
audience in fact, root for him to fail so that we can see Sharuck win
and get his girl.

The Special Guest Appearance is not allowed to get the girl, no matter
how perfect he is. (I'm not implying I'm perfect)

The sole reason for the existence of the Special Guest Appearance is
to draw a sharp contrast between him and the hero and to increase
dramatic tension and so that the heroine realizes the depth of her
love towards the hero.

Similarly I came in your life for a brief period of time,made you
smile for some time, made you realize new things about yourselves and
forget a few worries, gave a bunch of fond memories and then faded
away.
It's what I do best.

I'll gladly fade away, rendered to wisps of past memories and
imaginings long forgotten.

Don't worry too much about my heart.I've superglued it together.Glass
and glue are unlikely allies, but they will have to strive to keep me
alive.

Remember.
In the end the Special Guest Appearance makes his own
reconciliation,swallows hard and accepts defeat like a man.
And fades away.



I'll just fade away
and one fine day you will try
to remember me ,
but will feel an emptiness
that has replaced my presence.

My memories, or their suprising lack
will haunt you.
